Developer Diary 2021: week 30

01/01/0001 developerDiary

Welcome to Developer Diary, a weekly chat to share what a week as a developer is like, for me at least 😊

What's been happening?

Another busy week of not alot of techy stuff outside of work... lots of decorating and hard work in the flat but we finally just about finished the renovations! Also got my second Covid jag which was a relief, a step closer to normal hopefully. A wee bit more tired for a few days, not sure if it's from the decorating or the jag!

I virtually attended the Women in DevOps panel on "How to Transition from Being an Engineer to an Engineering Manager", a topic I can relate to! It was a great panel and really interesting content!

The nice weather continued so we finished the week with a walk around the west end and stopping off at a cafe for a drink in the sun... A nice "normal" thing to be able to do after the last year or so.

Watching 📺

Lots of sports... meaning lots of crying! I always get really emotional watching the Olympics. I have been enjoying the gymnastics, swimming & athletics, although following along from UK timezone is a wee bit tricky this time around. Scottish league football is now back too, great to see the team back and hear fans in the crowd!

ASP .Net community stand up is always a good recommendation but I am particularly enjoying this series on .Net architecture: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Eq0Jvhk0o1Y
