Football, football, football... and a conference talk!

What's been happening?

Lots of watching football! This week Scotland were back in a major tournament for the first time in 23 years! This is the first one I can really remember and appreciate after years of following through many campaigns of almost qualifying. Of course I jumped on the retro football top trend with this belter!

On Thursday, I presented at BlazorDay conference, kicking off the schedule with my talk "Getting Started with Blazor", I have given this talk a few times now varying it each time but I think this is was probably the last so it was good to present it at a Blazor specific conference! You can check out the over 6h of content here!

I also attended the CodeCraft meetup on "Practice Inclusive Online Meetings" using liberating structures. We've all been having work and community meetings online for a good while now, but it's good to learn new techniques in running these meetings in new ways.

Reading 📚

I have continued reading Shuggie Bain. Being set in the East End of Glasgow, it's strange being able to almost hear characters as you read as you feel like you know them, you know the streets they are are talking about, etc.

Watching 📺

Mostly Euro 2020 and Open Goal daily episodes.

We also finished the season of Mare of Easttown, the last few episodes were so "must watch the next one", that we just binged them all!

Goals for next week:

  • Even if I can't run (injury), go for a walk.
  • Yoga/ stretching.
